Quel souvenir gardes-tu de ton passage à emlyon business school ?
I only have great memories of my years at emlyon business school (1999-2003). I had the opportunity to be part of a number of Student Associations (elected at the Ski Club in 2000 with the team Skiss’Cool, captain of the football team and coach of the female football team in 2003, DJ for Radio Activ’ …). I still have many close friends that I met during my studies and love to see them in Lyon, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong…
During my studies, I had the chance to learn from great professors but also entrepreneurs and business leaders. I really enjoyed elective such as Strategic Management, Organization Behaviours or Entrepreneurship. Learning from business leaders is something very special as it gives you a taste of the “real life”. During my studies, I completed 2 internships in Paris and an MBA exchange program in Melbourne (Australia) for 7 months, which really changed my life as it helped me to develop my professional projects and prepared me to start my career first with PwC in Lyon (2004-2007) then in Sydney (from 2007 to 2022).

Comment emlyon business school t’a-t-elle aidé dans la construction et la réalisation de ton parcours professionnel ?

« Quel lien conserves-tu aujourd'hui avec l'Ecole et le réseau alumni ? »
I still have closed ties with emlyon and am a proud Alumni. Now an entrepreneur, I have welcomed more than a dozen of emlyon students as interns for Australiance.com in Sydney and regularly speak to students and Alumni who are interested by an internship or expatriation in Australia. Last April 2022, I was part of the “employability world tour” to share our expertise about internship and job search in Australia.
Since 2010, I am a correspondent for emlyon alumni in Australia and have organised numerous networking events in Sydney to gather students and Alumni in person. Now that I am coming back to live in Lyon, I hope to be able to be more involved with students and alumni to help them start their own business or choose their next career move.

My main advice for international students currently in Lyon would be to join a student association and/or do an internship in France, ideally in a startup with international ambitions. This will help you learn the French culture and language, which would be very valuable for the rest of your career and may change your life!
