South Africa
South Africa, located at the southern tip of the African continent, is a diverse and fascinating country, known for its rich history, natural beauty and vibrant culture. The country is often referred to as the "Rainbow Nation" because of its ethnic, cultural and linguistic diversity. One of South Africa's most emblematic attractions is its extraordinary wildlife. Famous national parks such as Kruger National Park offer visitors the chance to see the Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo) up close, as well as a host of other animal species. Private reserves and sanctuaries also offer exclusive safaris and wildlife interactions.

Cultural Pitfalls
South Africa has the fourth highest crime rate in the world. As a general rule, you need to be very careful everywhere. The Woodstock, Observatory and Bokaap areas of Cape Town are particularly prone to muggings and robberies, both day and night, so be vigilant and don't put valuable possessions on display.
