Singapour

Singapore, officially known as the Republic of Singapore, is an island city-state in Southeast Asia. It is a dynamic, cosmopolitan country that combines impressive modernity with rich cultural diversity. The small island of Singapore has grown spectacularly since independence in 1965 to become one of the world's leading economic and financial centers. The city-state is renowned for its efficiency, cleanliness and state-of-the-art infrastructure, with iconic skyscrapers and bustling business districts. Singapore is also known for its harmonious blend of cultures. With a population made up of Chinese, Malays, Indians and other ethnic groups, the country offers an incredible variety of cuisines, festivals, languages and customs. Visa

No visa is required for French nationals staying less than three months.

Also note that an entry form must be completed at the border: don't lose the part given to you by the customs officer, as you'll be asked for it on departure.

Please note: if you have been to a yellow fever-endemic country in the 6 days prior to your arrival in Singapore, you must be vaccinated.

L'expérience de Yasmine :

“You need to apply for the IPA letter to be able to enter Singapore. It takes about 1 month to obtain this document. Then, once you're in Singapore, you need to apply for a visa (Work Holiday Pass), which costs around $200.”

Les faux pas

Don't throw away or use the packets of tissues you find on a table in a food court. They are a means of reserving a table. Another object commonly used for this “reservation” system is an umbrella.

Don't bring chewing gum with you, as it's forbidden in Singapore.
